Robocalling : Explained

You and me both have used the system of phone calls and have you ever experienced Robocall or do you know about this term? Well, no problem because in this article I will explain to you the concept of robocalling and how you get spam calls on your phones, so stick on to know the brief.

Many a times we chill in our rooms next to our phone and suddenly it rings and a random number appears on the screen and we pick it up thinking it might be a important call and ''Hello sir, I am Sara from xy bank, can i help you? You have offer to get a car, you are getting a credit card, blah blah.'' This is so annoying and irritating every time it happens but bigger problem is that when we are away from the phone due to some work or it is silent, and when we see our phone we see 7 missed calls from many random numbers.

Now, we are confused why we got these calls or where are they from, also sometimes it is from different countries that you know you have no relation with still it gives a headache.

In this case, now you are the victim of Robocalling. Like you get spam e-mail on your inbox like - ''you have won a lottery, a house, a car'', but in the system of e-mail the inbox is quite smart that it filters the spam e-mails or even if it does not you can clearly understand those spam e-mails as they are obvious.

But in the case of cell phones, you are unaware unless you pick it up, and then the spams irritate you.

Briefing -

The business of robocalling is gradually increasing, and the main advantage is now the developments of voip calling system, earlier people manually called many phone number turn by turn until recent times when computerised calling systems are strong, the spammers call multiple phone numbers at once and the people who gets trapped in this game, they are robbed or it will be continued.

Different voip systems like Google HangoutsSkypeGoogle Voice, etc have given a rise to robocalling.

Solution :
Are we helpless in these situations? Don't we have a solution to get rid of robocalls? Of course we do have solution for robocalls, whether I talk about Android or Ios, both have inbuilt options for filtering these spam robocalls.

Also there are many apps to find out about spam robocalls, who work against database to check those numbers appearing on your screen and they alert you as soon as possible that it might be a spam or robocall.

To Know More -

But there is a problem here also that these apps check against the standard database which they have due to crowd sourcing, they check against them, but the robocallers use caller id spoofing due to which they make different numbers appear on your screen, which is not owned by them.
This way these apps fail and you can't know that it is a spam until you pick it up.

Conclusion -
This is the complete system of robocalling, in this the geeks are taking precautions but normal people are usually becoming victim and this trap of robocalling is increasing day by day.
So the telecom regulatory authorities of the countries should take action against these robocalls.
